Hello Friends!

Over the July 4th holiday, our oldest son, Stetson, was hurt while playing in a pool with a bunch of people. They were throwing each other up real high and letting them come down in the pool, but he landed awkwardly on his back. For the next couple weeks he kept having pains in his chest until one day we could hear a gurgling sound on the heart side of his chest. We called his pediatrician, and they told us to take him to the emergency room immediately. We took him to Children's Hospital here in Birmingham and found out he had a hole in his lung which was also partially collapsed. That hole was letting air escape and was building up pressure around his lung. The risk was if that air pocket continued to grow until it started putting pressure on his heart.

The next morning, after being admitted into the hospital, the surgeon came in and let us know that he wanted to put in a tube to get the air out and then do an additional procedure to attach the lung to the lining on the wall around it to hold it up. It was quite a shock and hard to absorb, and we didn't know what to do so we put him off one day to see if it would get better and we turned our eyes to God. Wendy and I fasted the rest of that day and asked the Lord for a miracle. God promised that if we pray, believing, then we shall receive....and we did.

The following morning the doctor came in and said that the pocket of air was not getting any larger so there was a chance it might heal on its own over the next few weeks. He was not very optimistic, though, and he again pushed for surgery. We decided to believe God for a miracle, and we told him we were going to wait on that surgery. He scheduled another appoitment to check progress five days later and we went home.

Now is when God moved in a mighty way. The day came for the follow-up, and they did the same tests again to check on it and they couldn't find an air pocket at all. In addition, the lung had bounced back up and was fully expanded like normal. The doctor didn't know what to say because it should not have healed up that quickly so Wendy, being the minister that she is, helped him out. She called it a miracle and let him know that God had done His thing.

If you need a miracle in your life, no matter how big, remember that God is still God and He is the Healer.

Lowest Time #65 in Singing News

Lowest Time has come in at #65 in the Singing News for June. It is also at #55 in the Gospel Music News, #43 in the Gospel Music Times, and has earned a TOP 40 in the Christian Voice Magazine. This is such an honor and we thank everyone that has called to request it and the DJ's that play it. This song was written by Wendy Word and is based on a true story. We have seen God use it to minister to hurting people that are going through their lowest time right now. Remember, when you feel like you are in your lowest time it is Gods way of preparing you to help someone else along the way. He will make ALL things beautiful in His time.

Wendy Word + forgiven Score Top 10 Hit at Christian Country Radio

STERRETT, Alab. - Wendy Word + forgiven recently scored their latest Top 10 hit at Christian Country radio. The group's current Christian Country single, "That’s Enough", recently reached #7 on the PowerSource Magazine's Christian Country Top 100 chart, Christian Country's leading radio airplay chart. The song reached the position on the June 2007 issue of the chart. This is the group’s first Top 10 on the PowerSource Magazine Christian Country Top 100.

God Healed Her!

A young lady came up for prayer because she had a sty in her left eye. It was so large that it interfered with her vision as she could see it when she looked out of that eye. She was also in great pain because of all the infection so much so that she couldn't touch it. As Wendy began to pray she looked up at her and said that the pain was gone. That's when Wendy noticed that it began to shrink. Wow! You'd think that was the miracle, but all that did was get Wendy fired up. As service was dismissed and people left, Wendy was still praying with that young lady believing God for a complete miracle. That's when it happened. As they were praying that sty fell off her eyelid and right into Wendy's hand. With excitement Wendy handed it to the young lady and showed her the miracle God had worked. She went to a mirror and then let everyone know, "It's gone!"

What an awesome feeling to see a miracle right before your eyes...literally. It is such a sweet honor for God to use us to let you know that He is still working miracles today.

It is a good day with something incredible to share. We got news that Wendy Word + forgiven has been nominated for a Dove Award. (Wow, that was kool to say!) It is such an honor. The news is still sinking in. The blessing of the Lord to his servants is always wonderful. Wendy Word + forgiven is committed to serving God in the ministry for life with a goal of seeing people's lives changed for eternity, but it is pretty neat to get a reward now and then. :) Thank you to Lamon Records and thank you to everyone that believed in us. This is truly an encouragement that we will carry in our hearts as we continue to travel this road for Jesus.
