New Radio Release

A Move of God in Kentucky

Recently we were ministering at a tent revival near Harlan, Kentucky as part of the Out of Ashes Annual Homecoming. The weather was perfect and God was there in a special way. At the end of our time singing, Wendy told the people that we would like to pray for anyone in need because that was our last night there and we were heading to Georgia the next morning.

One woman made her way to the alter and requested prayer for her back. She was in considerable pain and it was an effort to get up there. As we prayed she began to feel a warming sensation in her back and God healed her instantly. No more pain!

A teenager began to tell how she just could not ever make the right decision. She would say she wasn't going to do or go, but something inside would take over and she'd find herself doing exactly what she didn't want to. We knew that was demon possession and we began to command that devil to be gone in the name of Jesus. God is so good and faithful. That devil left right then and her countenance lifted and she was a different person. Awesome!

No matter how big or small your need is, you can know that God cares and He will heal, deliver, and set free today the same as He did in the Bible.

Wendy Word + forgiven Tracking For New Recording

(l to r): Wendy Word, Janna Ward (Kilowatt Studio), and Kevin Ward (producer) STERRETT, Alab. – Wendy Word + forgiven have recently been in the studio working on their brand new recording. The group has been tracking for the their highly-anticipated third studio release.

The currently-untitled release is being produced by Dove Award-winning producer Kevin Ward (Janet Paschal, Lillie Knauls, Hope’s Call).

Wendy Word said, “We are so excited to finally be back in the studio. We feel like we’ve written some of our best material, and we can’t wait to start singing this new material. Ya’ll are going to love it!”

The new recording features some of Nashville’s most requested studio musicians including Jason Webb, Steve Brewster, Dave Cleveland, and Mark Hill. Tracks were recorded at Sunset Blvd Studios in Brentwood, Tennessee. Steve Dady served as engineer for the new tracks.

“The band did such a great job on all of these tracks,” mentioned Tony Word of Wendy Word + forgiven. “We are so happy with everything so far.”

Vocals are being recorded at Kilowatt Studio in Murfreesboro, TN.

Wendy Word + forgiven hopes to release the first single from the new album next month. More information on that will be released at a later date.

The up and coming group’s latest radio single, “Lowest Time,” flew up the charts. The song peaked at #19 on the PowerSource Magazine Southern Gospel Top 100 and #23 on Christian Voice Magazine’s Top 100 chart. The song also became the group’s first Singing News Top 80 hit – peaking at #65. Also – the song peaked at #43 on the Gospel Music News Top 100.

DOVE NOMINATED!!!

It is a good day with something incredible to share. We got news that Wendy Word + forgiven has been nominated for a Dove Award. (Wow, that was kool to say!) It is such an honor. The news is still sinking in. The blessing of the Lord to his servants is always wonderful. Wendy Word + forgiven is committed to serving God in the ministry for life with a goal of seeing people's lives changed for eternity, but it is pretty neat to get a reward now and then. :) Thank you to Lamon Records and thank you to everyone that believed in us. This is truly an encouragement that we will carry in our hearts as we continue to travel this road for Jesus.
